Latimer films was founded in 2001 after our first film THE REAL NOTTING HILL, an improvised drama made with a group of exluded 15 year olds was screened on channel 4. The film was nominated for a Bafta and won the Best Film award at the Portobello Film Festival.

Since then a significant part of the company has been dedicated to making issue based dramas drawing on the real life experiences of the young people involved. The films are then used as an educational tool in schools and youth clubs accross london, with the emphasis placed on encouraging the viewers to engage with their world.
