Projecting Stoke is a community film project working within two different areas of Stoke-On-Trent. The aim is to give communities a voice through the medium of film, and possibly spot filmmaking talent.

Ten films were made for each of the areas we worked with - Meir, in the South of the city, and Tunstall in the North. They were made by either individuals or community groups, and the films range from documentaries to dramas to pop videos. The participants were taught filmmaking skills, including storyboarding, camera work and editing.

The project ran between December 2005 and March 2006 for the Meir films, and September 2006 to February 2007 for the Tunstall films. The films were premiered at the Film Theatre in Stoke, and images of the films will hopefully be projected onto public buildings in March 2007.
